I have been trying out the Nykaa Matte to last lipsticks for sometime now and as always I would like to share my unbiased thoughts with you. There are 18 shades in this collection. The shade range is very inclusive as there are nudes, red, pinks and browns. You will definitely find something you will like. I have 5 shades from this collection, which I have mentioned below.
- Madras Kappi – Brown Shade
- Guwa-Hottie– Burnt Orange Shade
- Begum– Mauve Shade with finely milled pink glitter
- Chai– Rich Brwon Shade
- Jaan– Plum Shade
The concept of “My city My colour” is pretty cool as they have derived the colours from different cities and named it after them as well.
The packaging is sleek and functional . You can see the shade which makes it easier to choose what you would like to wear. It has a reservoir tip applicator, which is another type of doe foot applicator with a divot in the middle. It actually helps to collect more product so you’ll be able to apply your lipstick in one go. Plus, this has a pointed tip which you can use as a lip liner.
Coming to the formula, it feels lightweight and almost watery when you apply it. It dries down to a matte finish fairly quickly . It does feel a tad bit dry so make sure your exfoliate and moisturise your lips. I noticed that if I press my lips together, it tends to get powdery. It lasts through light snacking but not through an entire meal. It is definitely kiss proof 🙂
