Hourglass Vanish Stick Foundation

Hey Guys!

I had alot of time to play with this foundation. While testing it out I was always on the fence about the kind of finish it had. When I wore it for the first time , it stuck to all the dry patches on my face and enhanced the texture. It would bunch up and look horrible at the end of the day. I could not believe that beauty enthusiasts were promoting such a product. Nonethelss I fixed my skin first and thought of giving this a second try. Once I got rid of all my dry patches by following a strict skincare routine, I noticed the foundation looked smooth and flawless with each application. The trick here is to hydrate and prime your skin well before applying this to your face.

As on the Website: The Hourglass Vanish Stick Foundation is a revolutionary foundation stick with the coverage of a concealer, the fluidity of a liquid, and the weightlessness of a powder in a longwearing waterproof formula for undetectable full coverage. The unprecedented concentration of pigment in this foundation provides maximum coverage with minimum product, concealing all discoloration and imperfections for flawless skin with a seamless finish.

This is foundation has smooth & creamy texture. It has a sheer to medium coverage but can definitely be built up for a more fuller coverage. Since it isn’t very thick you can use it just as a concealer under your eyes . This foundation gets adjusted to the warmth of your skin and makes it easy to blend out.

I prefer to use the real technique expert face brush or a kabuki brush for a more seamless finish.I spritz my brush with some fix plus and then start blending in the foundation. The more I blend it in , the more seamless it looks.  Once applied it makes my skin look so even and flawless . It sets well and no longer seperates on my face. If you have alot of acne or dry patches it’s best you skip this one as it definitely clings to it.

I use two shades to get my perfect match. The shades I use are Beige and Amber. Beige being the lighter shade I use it on the centre of my face and Amber being the darker shade I use it on the perimeters of my face. Then with my brush I just blend it all it to get my perfect shade. The triangular tip makes it easy to reach under the eyes or near the inner corner areas.

You do not need to put too much for an even coverage, it covers all my hyper pigmentation and redness . A little goes a long way when using this foundation. It is not a matte finish. It leaves your skin looking dewy. I prefer to use this with a combindation of primers. I use a mattifying primer on the centre of my face as I do have an oily T-Zone and I use a hydrating primer for the rest of my face as it dry. I have worn this for 10 hours straight and it still looked pretty darn good at the end of the day. But I do need to warn you that it does tend to look a bit oily after a few hours and you will need to touch up with some powder for sure. But I am okay with that as matte foundations do not work for me. I rather use a creamy foundation such as this and then touch up as and when required.
